Tyne United New Years Head

Updated: Feb 6, 2019

What a way to kick off our 150th year. Well done Chris E, Andrew D, Robin and Ian B. Winning open quads this afternoon at Tyne United NY Head. This was their 2nd race of the day as they raced masters in the morning and despite being quickest crew were beaten on handicap. Other notable performances were ladies open B2 quad Lee, Susan, Josie and Me. Massive well done Susan and Josie on your 1st head race you did really well, and were still smiling at the end. Martin and Holly had a hard shift as there was no mixed so they raced open and again did really well on their 1st race on the Tyne. Lee and Lauren raced ladies open doubles this afternoon. Lee's 2nd race of the day and great to see Lauren return to racing after the birth of Marni. Andrew C rowing with Tyne (with blue socks!!!) Raced an 8+ and had a good row to win B2 and finish 4th overall. Lots of positives today onwards for our small club. Tyne Head 16th February entries open tomorrow so please let me know your entries ASAP or you may not get in.
