For the 5th and final time this Autumn our rowers enjoyed good rowing and conditions with a little sun for good measure. Travelling to neighbours Cambois we had a full load of boats, with lots of newer members stepping up. Chris and Andrew 2x were delighted to close their series by making it 5 wins out of 5. 4th overall. Ewan and Will decided to give it a go 2x and despite being their first row together appeared to have enjoyed the experience. Hilary and Susan 2x were very pleased with their 1st race together only losing on handicap with a C-F difference. Robin notched up a win in E/F 1x having had a good but hard row. Elvira was pleased with her scull but was up against tough opposition from speedy juniors. Ziggy had his 2nd LDS race and felt he went better. Josie took on her 1st LDS 1x and did well. It was even noted by a by steward what a tidy sculler she is. Into the afternoon SBH Andrew, Will, Ewan and Zig had a go 4x quite a learning experience but all had fun. Chris and Lee mixed 2x went well despite Lee only just arriving from work in the nick of time. Hilary and Elvira 2x had a steady first race together but could not catch the speedy GWC juniors. Susan and Josie also 2x gained more valuable racing experience. We have had some sterling performances from Chris and Andrew, Elvira and Robin. But it is also fantastic to see newer rowers racing and in some cases not being too far off the mark.
